Sadly, we now live in an era and culture where Christians who do not celebrate Halloween, practice Yoga, or embrace aspects of Eastern religious philosophies are considered uneducated, old-fashioned, legalistic and needing to get with the times. Since this be so, then I would dare say that we are living in the time of calling ‘evil good and good evil - of putting darkness for light and light for darkness.’ (Isaiah 5:20).
No matter how innocent these things may seem, these practices open up portals in the spirit realm. This is a very real thing. Please, do not turn a blind eye and embrace things that have been birthed from an impure and evil source. These things have diseased root systems. Please, do your research and educate yourself, learn from Christians who have been delivered from Occultism and Satanism. They all report that no matter how innocent you may think your participation, you are opening up portals for deceptive spirits to grab you.
Since the Word warns that if it were possible for even God’s very elect to be deceived in the last days (Matthew 24:24), then I would say that we need to cloak ourselves in nothing but pure Godliness. Which means not dabbling with or touching things that have been birthed from an ungodly place. It matters. Godly boundaries and fences matter. The Word is full of examples and stories of people who are called out by God to be separated unto the One, true, Living God. One of many examples is when the Lord instructs His people to come out from among them and be separate and to not touch the ‘unclean thing’ (2 Corinthians 6:17). With that verse in mind, let’s make sure that whatever we are touching as a child of God has been birthed from a pure place. Make sure that the streams that you are drinking from are crystal clear, and pure; not with origins rooted in Occultism and Satanism. In this day of intense deception that is flooding the world and the Church, we cannot possibly set our standards too high! Let’s get our defenses up against the enemy. We are in a war! To think any differently shows that the battle against a person’s soul has already been won. This war for our souls is intense in this final age of time. Our enemy knows that his time is short, hence his boldness and vehemency. He’s pulling out all the stops. I plead, please recognize this. This is not hairy-fairy non-sense. It is as real as your reflection in the mirror. It would behoove us to make it our business to get behind the fence of God’s Word, and to make it our goal in life to get behind the fence of God’s wall of protection of being totally set-apart unto Him, and to run the race that has been set before us like never before (Hebrews 12:1). We are promised in 2 Corinthians 6:17 that if we do these things, come out and be separate, touch not the unclean thing, then He will receive us. There is nothing, nothing, nothing, in this world that even comes close to comparing to His receiving us on that great and glorious day. This life is a trial run, full of choices, full of tests. Choose wisely - Eternity is right around the corner. Let’s be found giving our all and laying it all down for His great Name’s sake. Let’s not be found bowing our knee to Baal when that trumpet sounds. It is very unwise to turn a blind eye and participate in the devil’s world. I promise you, Satanists who consider Halloween to be the most important day of the year, or Yogis who are entrenched in the origins of their practice would never in a million years be caught dead worshipping and singing ‘Silent Night’ around a manger scene. These people have the spiritual sense to draw lines, so why don’t God’s children do the same? Think about that for a minute, and ponder your path…. -IT’S CHOOSING TIME: “How long halt ye between two opinions?" (I Kings 18:21a). -GOD’S REMNANT PEOPLE WILL NOT HAVE BOWED TO BAAL NOR KISSED HIM: “Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him” (I Kings 19:18). Jesus is coming back for His remnant people (the 7,000 as it were; referenced in the above scripture), who have not bowed to Baal. In other words, they have not espoused anti-biblical views that honor the prevailing culture whilst dishonoring God. They have chosen the path least trodden; the path with the MOST resistance. It is not popular to stand against this way of thinking; the way of thinking that allows things that have been birthed from the demonic realm into the Church, whilst all of these things are touted as being totally innocent. At the same time, those who make a stand for Truth are labeled as religious, legalistic and heretical. Wow! What a day we are living in! It is imperative that we ask ourselves the age old question, “Who is on the LORD’s side?” (Exodus 32:26). Satanists, Yogis, and Occultists have chosen their side. Let’s choose ours! “If the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him” (I Kings 18:21b). As children of the One, true Living God, let’s drink from and participate in things that are pure, unadulterated and are found to have come from a clean source and pure fountain. Leave the demonically inspired things to the devil’s crowd. Our very lives depend on it. The more we choose against deception, the greater our spiritual sense of smell will become. Now, more than ever, is not the time to walk through this world with a spiritually dull sense of smell. “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Romans 13:11). “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober” (1 Thessalonians 5:5-6). Watch and be sober, oh precious children of God. Our salvation (the rapture) is closer now today than when we first committed our lives to walking with Jesus!
